Processing Time of Vietnam Tourist e-Visa

The normal processing time of the Vietnam Tourist e-Visa that you will apply online is 3 business days. This could take longer depending on certain situations. It’s highly recommended that you apply for your e-visa at least 7 days before you arrive in the country. That way, you will have enough time for the processing of your e-visa.

Validity and Duration of the Vietnam Tourist e-Visa

The Vietnam tourist e-visa will allow you to stay in the country for a maximum of 30 days. This e-visa is valid only for single entry and cannot be used for re-entry.

If your country is not included in the list of eligible countries for the Vietnam eVisa, your best bet is to apply for a Vietnam Visa on Arrival. The on arrival visa is available at the airport and is eligible for all nationalities. It will let you stay in the country for 30 to 60 days. However, the Vietnam Visa on Arrival will require a visa approval letter beforehand then able to pick the visa at the airport of Vietnam. Plus, you may have to endure the long waiting time at the visa counter. So if you qualify for the eVisa, you might as well go for this since it’s more convenient.
