When planning for your Vietnam trip, one of the things that you need to think about is the visa. Although there are a few nationalities that can enter Vietnam without having to apply for a visa, most foreign tourists have to have a valid Vietnam visa before they can enter the country.
Thankfully, it’s now possible to apply for a Vietnam tourist e-visa online, which is very convenient. With this e-visa, you no longer need to go to the nearest Vietnam embassy to apply for your e-visa. What’s more, the process of applying online takes only a few minutes of your time.
Also known as the Vietnamese tourist eVisa, the Vietnam Tourist e-Visa that you can apply online works like an electronic travel authorization that will allow you to enter the country for a maximum of 30 days. Applying for this e-visa is fast and easy and all you need to do is to go online, fill out the form, and make a payment.
Take note that your passport must be valid for at least six months from your date of entry to the country when you apply for the Vietnam tourist e-visa. Furthermore, your passport should have two blank pages for the visa stamp.

The normal processing time of the Vietnam Tourist e-Visa that you will apply online is 3 business days. This could take longer depending on certain situations. It’s highly recommended that you apply for your e-visa at least 7 days before you arrive in the country. That way, you will have enough time for the processing of your e-visa.
There are instances where the immigration officials might require further information to validate the data you have provided and this could delay the processing of your e-visa. But if there are no issues with your application, you should have your e-visa sent to your email in three days or less.
